The jinx...

somehow it just struck me that weilie is the cause to singapore's failure to achieve olympic medals in both badminton and tabletennis.

(hours before ronald susilo began his fight for a place in the finals)
me: wah power, i think susilo can win ah!!
weilie: as long as he doesn't lose 2 matches in a row, he can make it lah.
ronald susilo ends up losing to ponsana boonsak.

on li jia wei's match against kim hyang mi
weilie: as long as she doesn't lose 2 matches in a row, she can win at least the silver medal ah...
upon hearing that, i got the feeling that li jia wei isn't gonna make it to the finals. its was the exact same words he had siad as the ronald susilo match!!!! in the end it turned out just as i expected.

more evidence..
once when i wanted to bet on a euro 2004 match (i've forgotten which game) and have originally wanted to 7,8 & 9 goals. i told kumar about it and he agreed that i should go ahead and buy. just at that moment weilie walked in and said:"aiya.. won't have 9 goals wan lah...." immediately, kumar told me to drop the idea of buying 9 goals, reason being what weilie just said, there won't be so many goals... well i didn't buy in the end and the match ended up with only 1 goal.... hahaha... thats concrete evidence of weilie a jinx...

anyway kudos to our athletics for putting so much effort in the olympics. its was close, just get closer at beijing 2008 games...
